The client’s 8-year-old kitchen was built by a local carpenter using MDF carcasses. Classic Bhubaneswar humidity and kitchen steam had caused two base cabinets to swell and collapse entirely. The remaining cabinets showed visible swelling at the base. This is one of the most common interior failures we see.
The Solution
Complete kitchen demolition and rebuild. From the wall to the shutters, everything was replaced.
New Kitchen Specs:
- Layout: L-shape (12ft base + 6ft base wall cabinets)
- Carcass: CenturyPly IS:710 BWP 18mm (Documented)
- Shutters: Greenlam Super-Matte in Warm White
- Hardware: Hettich 100° soft-close hinges + Hettich tandem box drawers (all drawers)
- Countertop: New Vizag Blue granite with undermount single bowl sink
- Chimney: Existing chimney retained and re-routed
