Brief
The client wanted a master bedroom that felt like a 5-star hotel suite in their existing Laxmisagar flat. The ceiling was 9.5ft — ideal for a full floor-to-ceiling wardrobe without a cornice gap.
The Wardrobe
A 10ft wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling sliding wardrobe was the hero element. Natural teak veneer with hand-rubbed PU matte polish — the warmth of real wood against the cool charcoal wall paint creates the luxury contrast the client wanted.
Wardrobe Specs:
- Carcass: IS:303 18mm CenturyPly (dry bedroom — no moisture exposure)
- Shutter: Natural Teak Veneer with PU Matte Polish
- Rail: Hettich aluminum sliding system, 80kg rated per leaf
- Internals: Velvet-drawer dividers, pull-out trouser rack, sensor LED strip
- Mirror panel: One full-length mirror integrated as centre panel
The Bed
A custom upholstered platform bed with hydraulic storage mechanism. The headboard is a fluted oak-grain laminate panel extending to 2.4m height — creating a dramatic backdrop that frames the bed.
False Ceiling
2-level gypsum tray ceiling with 3000K warm LED cove. The elevated central section creates visual height, while the cove lighting creates the hotel-room ambiance the client sought.
Result
A master bedroom that cost ₹2.4 Lakhs but photographs like a ₹5+ Lakh project. The teak veneer — the single most impactful material choice — elevated the entire room beyond standard laminate at a cost premium of only ~₹25,000 over comparable laminate.
